1. Heard. Perused the record.
2. On 16.03.2024, the matter was settled before the Lok Adalat and an Award was passed by the Lok Adalat. In view of the same, the present appeal is disposed of, in terms of the Award dated 16.03.2024, passed by the Lok Adalat. The Registry is directed to annex a copy of the Award dated 16.03.2024 to this judgment. No costs.
3. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this appeal shall stand closed.
Settlements reached through Lok Adalat are recognized and enforced by the court, promoting alternative dispute resolution.
The finality and enforceability of a Lok Adalat award as per the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, and the requirement of extraordinary circumstances to set aside such an award.
