ORDER :
S.R.KRISHNA KUMAR, J.
In this petition, the petitioners seek the following reliefs:
i) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent to issue Degree Certificates to the petitioners forthwith, and;
ii) Direct the respondent No.1 University to verify the educational qualification of the Petitioners, as and when sought by the employers, and ;
iii) Grant such other relief/s as this Hon'ble Court deems fit to grant, in the facts and circumstances of the case including the costs, in the interest of justice and equity.
2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel for the respondents and perused the material on record.

Students admitted until 2012-13 are entitled to Degree Certificates irrespective of completion date, as affirmed by past judicial rulings.
Students admitted up to the academic year 2012-13 are entitled to receive degree certificates and verification of marks.
As per section 7 of the University Act, 1974, the Chancellor is the head of the University and as per Section 7(3) of the Act, the Chancellor is empowered to annul any proceedings of any of the autho....
The university cannot cancel a degree after the completion of the course and must follow a fair procedure in reaching such decisions.
