The issue in these batch of Writ Appeals are no longer res integra. The issue pertains to grant of Selection Grade and Special Grade to the post of Secondary Grade Teachers and Primary School Head Masters in the Education Department. Whether the services rendered as Secondary Grade Teacher prior to 01.06.1988 shall be reckoned for grant of Selection Grade or not was considered by the Courts.

The Division Bench has passed an order rejecting the claim of the Secondary Grade Teachers and a batch of appeals were filed by the aggrieved teachers before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and the order of the High Court was confirmed and the Special Leave Petition was dismissed on 01.04.2019 in SLP.(Civil) Diary No.5529 of 2019. Therefore, no further adjudication needs to be undertaken, since all the present batch of writ appeals are covered by the order of the Division Bench, which was confirmed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.
