1. Instant writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of certiorari for setting aside the order dated 20.11.2025 (Annexure P-1), passed by respondent No.2, whereby claim of the petitioner for appointment as Up-Vaid has been rejected. Further prayer has been made for directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner and appoint him as Up-Vaid.
2. Brief facts of the case, as pleaded in the petition, are that the petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste category. After 10+2, he obtained Diploma in Upvaid (Ayurvedic) from Punjab State Faculty of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine, Patiala, in the year 2008, securing 59% marks. Thereafter, he completed his internship training at G.A.D. Boparai Kalan, District Ludhiana, from 20.01.2009 to 02.05.2009. The Registrar, Board of Ayurvedic and Unani Systems of Medicine, Punjab, issued registration certificate of Ayurvedic Up-Vaid dated 04.06.2015 (Annexure P-3) to the petitioner, which is valid upto 31.12.2030.
