In this Writ Petition, petitioners challenge the action of the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) in undertaking appointments to the post of Language Pandit (Telugu) under Notification No. 54 of 2017, dated 21.10.2017 without calling for relinquishments from the selected candidates as per mandatory Rule 6-A of the TELANGANA STATE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION RULES , thereby resulting in unfilled vacancies due to unwillingness of such selected candidates, affecting petitioner’s right to appointment downwards in the merit.
